Vacuuming removes grit and dry soil which scratch and dull carpet fibers. Vacuuming also lifts fibers. Many commercial building maintenance programs do not include regular vacuuming. Research has shown that dry soil near entrances can reach a weight of 2 - 4 pounds per square yard! Efficient removal and control of dry soil are important to sustain carpet appearance and to extend carpet life.

Due to the use of dry powders, foams and spin bonnet chemicals, many carpets are being replaced prematurely. Residue left by these systems is causing matting and crushing problems that are being incorrectly blamed on the mills and fiber producers. A pile lifter is the most effective tool for solving these problems. Pile lifting should be included in planned maintenance programs and scheduled between extraction cleanings.

It features: 1/2 H.P. brush drive motor, 3/4 H.P. vacuum motor, 15" self-leveling and self-cleaning spiral brush, non-slipping geared brush drive, fully adjustable floor tube, exclusive sand trap that protects the vacuum motor from metal objects, 4" non-marking wheels so it can be taken up a flight of stairs, and a 5" fingertip control lever.

The Pile Lifter removes more dry soil and grit from carpets and rugs than any commercial vacuum. Pre-vacuuming will remove gritty soil and make warm water extraction more effective.

The Model S Pile Lifter removes the deeply embedded dry particulate matter from carpet while grooming the nap. Eliminates traffic patterns and will prolong the life of your carpet or rugs, when used on a regular basis. Available with vegetable fiber or tufted nylon brush.
